Hosted by Matthew Sitman and Sam Adler-Bell, Know Your Enemy is a careful, curious, and frequently funny attempt to take the American right seriously on its own terms. Each episode unpacks a book, a feud, a figure, or a recurring obsession of the conservative imagination — from National Review to MAGA to the new tradcaths — and asks what the right is telling us about itself, and where it's heading next.

Matt is a senior editor at Commonweal; Sam is a journalist and contributing writer at New York Magazine. They have been doing this since 2019. They have read more right-wing primary sources than most right-wingers have. That seems to be their problem now.

New episodes drop every other week on the public feed. Members get a steady run of bonus episodes — long mailbags, unlocked vault conversations, and the in-between dispatches that don't fit the regular cadence.
